Speedform for Caulfield Saturday 4th of December 2010.

Becoming very frustrating with the fluctuating track conditions on race day. Rain that was promised did not arrive and track conditions the opposite of what was expected. Not a great day for Speedratings. But clients should have had a good win on Miss Octopussy $4.40 (best recent speed - speed best) who was the undoubtedly the horse to back today given the change in conditions. But in adition clients may have also collected on Tri $232.20 & Ffour $1016.80 - both results arising from top 4 recent speed horses. At Rosehill winners were: Flying Success $2.00 (best speed - speed best); Beijing Boy $3.00 (best recent speed - speed best); O'Crikey $15.60 (equal best speed - speed 2nd best) & Daintree Road $3.40 (2nd best recent speed). Overall I was not happy with the results. Speedratings can do much better. Clients however did know of my high opinion of Miss Octopussy, and the day should have ended well.

Speedform for Sandown Hillside Saturday 27th of November 2010.

A terrible day of results on a program ruined by persistent rain and decimated by scratchings. The best result that the speed data could provide was Jungle Ruler $4.40 (best speed - best recent speed). Riveted @ $3.80 had the best wet track performance for his race. Irel @ $4.40 had 3rd best recent speed - as did Syndrome @ $5.10 & Maquina @ $5.30. Not much better in Sydney although with 2 top speed selections winning it was possible to show a small profit: Mumslad $4.00 (best recent speed - speed best) & Rhythm Of Dance $4.30 (best speed - best recent speed - speed best).

Speedform for Ballarat Sunday 21st of November 2010.

One race rated today - The Ballarat Cup. Great effort from Speedratings with top speed horses once again dominating the placings. Winner was My Bentley @ $5.90 (speed 2nd best) defeating Kidnapped 2nd (best recent speed) @ $3.50 for the place. The exacta paid (NSW) $53.70.

Speedform for Moonee Valley Saturday 20th of November 2010.

Solid performance from Speedratings with 50% of the Moonee Valley program being won by horses having the best recent speed for their events. These were: Anabaa's Legacy $3.90 (best recent speed); Waltzes $12.30 (best recent speed); Aloha $3.00 (best recent speed); Tio Rossa $4.40 (best speed - best recent speed - speed best). A massive return of $23.60 for a $8.00 outlay ($1.00 on all horses with best speed for their races). What might have been a truly fantastic day of results soured by the narrow defeats of top speed horses Miss Octopussy & Irazu. Winners at Rosehill were: Foxwedge $1.30 (speed 2nd best); Scarf $3.30 (2nd best recent speed) & Title $2.20 (best speed - best recent speed - speed best). At Ascot one race was rated for clients - the Railway Stakes - which was won by Gathering @ $12.00 who had 2nd best recent speed performance for this race. However, because he was not included in top two speed selections he is not included in the list of winners for the month of November.

Speedform for Sandown Hillside Saturday 13th of November 2010.

Very difficult conditions at Sandown Hillside today with unrelenting rain throughout the afternoon. I was disappointed by the consistency of results on the day - but nonetheless Speedratings did provide a share of winners. Interestingly 33% of the winners on the Melbourne program had best career speed for their races. Winners were: Dinner Date $5.00 (best recent speed - best speed - speed best); Macedonian $4.10 (best recent speed); Zipping $2.40 (speed best - best speed) & Happy Hippy $9.00 (best speed - speed 2nd best). Returning to Sydney racing (at Rosehill) after 2 weeks off during the Flemington Carnival Speedratings provided 4 top rated speed selections for clients and a terrific result with winners: Saramenha $1.40 (best recent speed - best speed - speed best); Tromso $3.20 (best recent speed - best speed - speed best); Pimpala Secret $8.50 (speed 2nd best); Geared Up $6.40 (speed best - 2nd best recent speed); Altier $7.50 (speed best). In addition longshot winner Let Them Have It $22.80 had 3rd best speed for his race.

Speedform for Moonee Valley Friday Night 12th of November 2010.

Only 3 races rated on a tricky program. I am no real fan of the non-premium night meetings at Moonee Valley so I try to be very selective. Inconsistent results - even though only 3 races rated - however with Blooded winning @ $11.60 (2nd best recent speed) a huge profit was made by supporting the top 2 speed horses across the 3 races.

Speedform for Flemington Saturday 6th of November 2010.

Another impressive performance from the speed data of Speedratings. Winners today were: Launay $3.50 (2nd best recent speed); Playwright $6.20 (best speed - best recent speed - speed best); Black Caviar $1.90 (2nd best recent speed); Moudre $3.80 (best speed - best recent speed) & Keano $10.40 (2nd best recent speed). In addition to Keano's big win dividend Speedratings selected (race 9) the trifecta (top 4 speed horses) $601.90 and the first-four (top 5 speed horses) $3812.70. Nearly a huge day as top speed selection in the Emirates Stakes - Chasm @ $16.00 - was beaten a nose and a nose into 3rd (looking the winner coming down the outside) and paying $5.20 for the place. Note that speedfigures for Sydney racing will be resumed next Saturday (held over for the duration of the Flemington Carnival).

Speedform for Flemington Thursday 4th of November 2010.

Another very strong performance from Speedratings with top rated horses providing clients with another profitable day with winners: Who's Ready @ $11.00 (speed best - 2nd best recent speed) & Niblick @ $4.00 (best recent speed - speed best). Also Oaks winner Brazilian Pulse @ $3.20 (2nd best recent speed) & Curtana @ $4.00 (2nd best recent speed). Clients also sometimes look deeper than first or second speed horse and today they had the data to identify the big winners: Status Symbol $51.00 (4th best recent speed) & Backgammon @ $11.50 (3rd best recent speed).

Speedform for Flemington Tuesday 2nd of November 2010.

A great performance by Speedratings on a feature race day. Winners were: Macedonian $6.00 (2nd best recent speed); Jersey Lily $5.50 (best recent speed); Americain $13.00 (speed 2nd best); and Launay @ $4.60 (2nd best recent speed). Speedratings correctly identified the main channces in the Melbourne Cup with the Exacta (top 2 best recent speed for this meeting) paying $138.00 - the Melbourne Cup Trifecta (top 4 speed horses) $313.50 - and Melbourne Cup First Four paying $7451.60 (top 2 career best speed horses & 2nd and 3rd best recent speed). A huge return across win/trifecta/first four for those with access to the speed data from Speedratings (and not the guesswork and opinion offered by other sources). In addition Charlie's Queen (3rd) had 3rd best recent speed and paid $15.00 place; While Marmaa 2nd best recent speed ran 3rd and paid $5.30 place.

Speedform for Flemington Saturday 30th of October 2010.

Huge performance from Speedratings on premier race day. Sacred Choice @ $22.00 (best recent speed - best speed on heavy track) a huge winner - completing the big exacta for Speedrating clients with Typhoon Tracy 2nd and the exacta $70.10. Other great results were Mr Chard @ $5.40 (speed best - best recent speed - best speed) & the champion So You Think (speed best - best speed) @ $1.70. Derby winner Lion Tamer @ $12.90 was 3rd rated - with our top speed horse Retrieve running 3rd. A massive (better than) 300% return on outlay today if backing horses with 'best recent speed'.

Speedform for Moonee Valley Saturday the 23rd of October 2010:

Solid performance from Speedratings today with both best bets proving successful. Winners at Moonee Valley were: Zubbaya @ $8.20 (best speed - best recent speed); Black Caviar @ $1.40 (speed best - best speed - best recent speed); Precedence @ $2.20 (speed best - best speed - best recent speed) & So You Think $1.60 (speed best - best speed). Speedform for Caulfield Saturday 16th of October 2010.

Very heavy track at Caulfield made life difficult for everyone. Our Caulfield Cup selection Shocking (4th) was very unlucky. Winners were: Alotta Spur @ $5.00 (speed 2nd best) ; Mr Chard @ $6.10 (2nd best recent speed); Retrieve @ $2.10 (speed best - best speed - best recent speed); Ginga Dude @ $8.90 (2nd best recent speed) &  Varenna Miss @ $2.20 (best recent speed - speed best), Winners at Randwick (6 races rated): Maluckyday @ $2.40 (best recent speed - speed best) & Thankgodyou’rehere @ $2.40 (2nd best recent speed).

Speedform for Caulfield Wednesday 13th of October 2010.

A very difficult day made even more so by continual rain during the afternoon of racing. Poor results today in comparison to the usual high standards set by Speedratings. Winners were: Spurcific @ $13.10 (best speed - best recent speed) & Preventable @ $3.40 (2nd best recent speed). Spurcific also had best speed performance on a wet track so the value she offered became even more obvious. Faster Son @ $4.60 had 2nd best recent speed after scratchings.

Speedform for Cranbourne Sunday 10th of October.

Clients of Speedratings received a 4 race Speedguide for the Cranbourne Cup Day races. Another great result with top rated Coup Align (speed best - 2nd best recent speed) heavily supported in from $7.00 and a winner @ $5.80 in the Apache Cat Classic. Great result again from backing top speed horses in feature races.

Another strong performance today from the speed data of Speedratings. Winners were: Sleepers @ $12.50 (best speed); Linton @ $4.60 (2nd best recent speed); Black Caviar @ $2.10 (speed 2nd best); So You Think @ $1.60 (best speed - speed best); More Joyous @ $2.30 (equal best recent speed); Solar Charged @ $7.50 (best speed - speed best - best recent speed) and Avenue @ $3.90 (best speed - 2nd best recent speed). At Rosehill winners were: Gigino $2.60 (2nd best recent speed); Ofcourseican $4.80 (best recent speed - speed best).

Week after week information (as below) is provided by the resources of Speedratings:

Best recent speed performance: Precedence; Linton...

Comments:

Small field for a Herbert Power - but very interesting group of horses. Precedence ticks all of the speed data boxes - best career speed/best recent speed/ best last start speed for this meeting. Bart has another very good horse on his hands. Definitely the one to beat. There might be one horse (in particular) capable of upsetting him - Linton. Huge effort when closing behind Precedence in the JRA Cup at MV last start. A lightly raced Galileo gelding getting out to 2400 metres for the first time. Logic - and all the precedents set by sons of Galileo in the northern hemisphere - would suggest that this horse could simply go up to another level again as he gets out over ground. Love the winning chances of Precedence - but slightly fearful of the improvement that Linton may show. The speedfigures suggest that these two should fight out the finish - and that is not in any way demeaning Moudre who has been sensational this campaign - and very unlucky last start when Williams took forever to get him rolling. Just think the other two above him may be exceptional. This race could be a pivotal speed event for the rest of the Spring.

Speedform for Flemington Sunday 3rd of October 2010.

Winners today were: Territory @ $3.80 (speed best - best recent speed - best speed) & Hay List @ $1.70 (speed best - best recent speed - best speed). Gathering @ $26.00 was 2nd rated last start in Group 1 event and was 3rd rated today. Speedratings best recent speed horses in Race 9 were:
Best recent speed performance: Select; Woorim; Gathering; Sister Madly; We’re Gonna Rock; Rockpecker...
Gathering defeated Rockpecker & Woorim with We're Gonna Rock 4th. Trifecta (NSW) paid $2268.90- while the First Four paid a huge $22,380.00.
I would expect that most clients of Speedratings - after backing Gathering last start - like me, also supported Gathering today. Unfortunately he doesn't get included in the Speedratings winners list - but Speedratings proves its worth as Australia's best alternative formguide time & time again.

Randwick Saturday 2nd of October.

Excellent effort from Speedratings. From the 8 rated races winners were: C'Est La Guerre @ $9.70 (best speed); Herculian Prince @ $5.80 (best recent speed); Erewhon @ $5.50 (2nd best recent speed); Buffering @ $3.80 (speed best); and Hot Danish @ $1.80 (speed best - best speed). Also in the feature race the Epsom Handicap the top rated speed horse Sacred Choice finished 3rd and paid $8.90 for the place. Big trifecta of $727.90 in The Metropolitan from top 4 rated speed horses.

Another brilliant performance from Speedratings with 4 top-rated winners. The feature race the Memsie Stakes was won by the top speed horse So You Think (best speed - speed best) @ $6.80. In addition the top 4 speed horses ran the first four in the Memsie which paid $549.40 (Unitab). The other winners were: Sayahailmary @ $3.70 (speed best - best recent speed); I'm A Hussy @ $3.40 (best speed - speed best) & Moudre @ $2.45 (best speed - speed best - best recent speed & the nominated best bet for this meeting). Another outstanding result, noting once again that the best races are won by the best speed horses. At Rosehill the winners were: Scottosh Border @ $5.50 (best recent speed); Reward For Effort @ $3.80 (speed best) & More Joyous @ $2.10 (speed 2nd best).

Speedform for Moonee Valley Saturday 21st of August 2010.

Excellent performance from the speed data of Speedratings today with another three top-rated winners. They were: Two Hills (best recent speed - speed best) won @ $5.00 and was the Speed Best (best bet) for this meeting. Two Hills adding to the already impressive list of good-priced winners nominated by Speedratings as best bet for the day over the past few months. The other winners were Devils Force @ $4.10 (best recent speed - speed best) & Ghostmilk (best recent speed - speed best) @ $4.40. Clients of Speedratings also had access to the information that stated that both Two Hills & Devils Force were 2 of the top 3 (Curtana the other) last start speed performances for this entire meeting. And in race 6 today the first four horses home were the top 4 speed horses with the dividend of $553.70. At Warwick Farm winners were: Illuminates @ $12.30 (2nd best recent speed) & Lost For Words @ $4.90 (2nd best recent speed).

Speedform for Sandown Hillside Sunday the 15th of August 2010.

5 races had speedfigures for today (jumping races are not given speedfigures - and the 2 year old race had no disclosed speed today either) and just one winner: Mid Summer Music (best recent speed - speed best) @ $1.75. Top speed horses were all defeated in photo-finishes in the other races.

Speedform for Caulfield Saturday the 14th of August 2010.

Traditionally the most difficult time of year with the transition between the Spring horses resuming at differing fitness levels, and the Winter horses coming to the end of their preparations. The spread of long-priced winners across the program testimony to this fact. Best results today were once again in the feature events where Shoot Out (best recent speed) won the Liston Stakes & the top 4 speed horses filled the first four placings with the first-four paying $619.20 on Unitab ($530.30 on Supertab). Our other Caulfield winner was Mont Fleuri (2nd best recent speed) @ $6.00. Rosehill provided 4 winners with We Betcha (2nd best recent speed) @ $3.70; Hawk Island @ $3.30 (best recent speed - speed best); Squamosa @ $2.70 (best recent speed - speed best) & Winter King @ $1.90 (best recent speed - speed best).

Speedform for Flemington 7th of August 2010.

Another excellent performance from Speedratings with winners Belscenica @ $10.10 (best recent speed - speed best); Elusive Touch @ $3.80 (2nd best recent speed); Moudre @ $3.30 (best recent speed - speed best) and Censor @ $2.45 (best recent speed - speed best). Backing all top rated speed horses today returned 215% on outlay. Also Whiston @ $8.50 won with 2nd best recent speed - but he is not included in list of winners as he was not a top 2 rated speed selection. Further merit added to the day with Moudre also being the best bet (Speed Best) for this meeting - with once again the feature races being won by the best performed speed horses. At Randwick winners were Love Conquers All @ $1.80 in feature event (top speed hoses filled first four placings); Miss Phromily @ $11.40 (2nd best recent speed) & Yoburg @ $8.10 (best recent speed - speed best). When you use the speed data from Speedratings you know 'why' a horse wins a race. You also know why the (false) favourite failed (with inferior speedfigures) to win. You can spot the superior horse, or chart the progress of an emerging star. It is not guesswork, it is a statistical measure tried and true.

Other winners were: Curtana @ $2.60 (speed 2nd best) & Abitofado @ $7.00 (2nd best recent speed). Sacred Orders @ $19.20 had 3rd best recent speed - only 1 point from 2nd best recent speed. Speedform for Moonee Valley Saturday 24th of July 2010.

A poor day when compared to the expected Speedratings standards - though such a day does emphasise how consistent speed data is over the course of a year. At Moonee Valley most of top rated speed horses ran placings, with the only winners being Rue Maple $1.90 (best recent speed - speed best) and Tinamou $3.10 (2nd best recent speed). At Randwick winners were: Winter King $1.90 (speed best); Offhanded $3.80 (best recent speed - speed best); Patrician's Glory $2.10 (best recent speed - speed best); and Squamosa $1.80 (best recent speed - speed best).

Speedform for Caulfield Saturday 17th of July 2010.

Not the best day overall today from the speed data provided by Speedratings - but still enough real & valuable information to give clients the opportunity for success. At Caulfield today the 8 week run of the (best bet) Speed Best horse came to an end. However, once again Speedratings nominated 2 top rated winning selections, including (once again) the feature race of the day. These winners were: Breitling (speed best - 2nd best recent speed) @ $3.40 - and feature race winner Reward For Effort (speed best) @ 3.30. Also Only He Knows (2nd best recent speed) a winner @ $3.90. At Rosehill a similarly up & down down day - although the speed data (see below) identified the winners Mr Unforgettable (2nd best recent speed) @ $19.80 in the feature race the Winter Stakes - and the top 5 speed selections won the trifecta of $467.50 & the first four of $4507.30. Miss Independent @ $17.60 also had 2nd best recent speed for her race. In addition top rated Atomic Force (best recent speed - speed best) won @ $3.50. Using speed data allows the user the benefit of true (factual - based on speed facts) history of the competing horses. Through the usually difficult punting month of June the top 2 speed horses won nearly 60% of races.

Note that below I have highlighted in bold the recent speed performances of winners Mr Unforgettable & Miss Independent. All speedfigures in brackets are recent speed performances (from past 4 runs - not exceeding 3 months). The first speedfigure is the career best speed performance. You can see that in Race 6 Illuminates had the best recent speed - with Mr Unforgettable 2nd best. In race 7 Kiss'n Chase had best recent speed - with Miss Independent 2nd best. Miss Independent - with 208 - actually had best career speedfigures as well. If looking for value runners the opportunity as illustrated by the speed data makes an overwhelming case.

Race 6 Myer Winter Stakes:

Adnocon 135w
Black Routine 155w (82,155w)
Cruisy Lady 136wscratched

Speedform for Sandown Hillside 14th of July 2010:

Only 4 races rated today. Midweek racing speedfigures are only produced sparingly when the quality of the meeting is deemed sufficient for success. Today's meeting was devalued by scratchings. No success from top 2 speed horses - but the success came in the main race (sprint) where the top 4 speed horses ran the trifecta which paid $1231.30 (NSW Tab).

Speedform for Flemington Saturday 10th of July 2010.

Another very strong performance from the speed data of Speedratings today with another 4 top rated speed horses winning in Melbourne. The run of the Speed Best horse (best bet for the day) continues with the 7th consecutive winner with Doubtful Jack (best recent speed - speed best) winning in a canter @ $1.70 - although he was much shorter odds than hoped for after the scratching of pre-post 2nd favourite & likely 3rd favourite. Other winners at Flemington were: Royal Bender @ $7.70 (2nd best recent speed - best recent speed Cyndiana Star ran 2nd and exacta paid $119.10); Big Spirit @ $4.90 (best recent speed - best speed - speed best) who defeated the short-priced favourite; Miss Lily Rose $5.50 (speed best); Doubtful Jack (top 2 recent speed horses ran 1st & 2nd with exacta $26.60); and Dorsoduro $6.50 (best recent speed - best speed - speed best). At Randwick winners were: Viva Las @ $4.80 (best recent speed - speed best); Skyerush @ $3.50 (2nd best recent speed); Brasileira @ $2.40 (best recent speed - speed best). Speedratings provides the data - not guesses - that make it the best formguide in Australia. It allows the user to make informed and logical choices. For instance, today at Flemington winner Exclusive Choice @ $9.00 had best career speed for his race - though without recent speed performances he was not rated in top 2 speed selections (not included among winners for the day). But the end user is armed with this knowledge - armed with these facts. At Morphettville today one race was rated for clients with last start selection from Melbourne going across to race. This horse, Game Serena, was not successful, but the winner Finniss Storm @ $41.00 was 3rd rated and had overall 2nd best career speedfigures for the race. Handy information to know. Forget the speed maps - these are incorporated into the Speedguide at no extra cost. Forget the hunches and hopes. Follow the speed.

Speedform for Moonee Valley Saturday 3rd of July 2010.

Strong start to the month from the speed data of Speedratings. For the sixth week in succession (best bet was scratched last Saturday) the nominated best speed horse for the day was successful - this time with Viking Turf Belle @ $4.00 (best speed - speed best - best recent speed). Viking Turf Belle was heavily supported on track & practically halved its opening tote odds. Other winners were: Philda @ $3.70 (speed best - best speed); Stoneblack @ $3.50 (best speed - 2nd best recent speed); Spirited Eagle @ $2.90 (best speed - speed best - best recent speed) & Ghostmilk @ $2.50 (speed best - best recent speed). 50% of the program were top rated speed horses. At Rosehill the winners were: Illuminates @ $5.00 in the feature race the Civic Stakes (once again a top rated best speed performed horse winning a feature event); Agister @ $4.20 (speed 2nd best); Skyerush $3.10 (2nd best recent speed) & Electric Dreams @ $2.50 (2nd best recent speed).

Speedform for Flemington Saturday 26th of June 2010.

Both Melbourne & Sydney today raced on heavy tracks. Winners today were the top rated Midnight Glory @ $6.00 (speed best - 2nd best recent speed) & Doubtful Jack @ $2.40 (speed best - best recent speed). At Randwick: Brasileira $1.90 (speed best - best recent speed); Altered Boy $6.50 (speed 2nd best); Alittlebitofmonica $5.00 (speed 2nd best). From 2 feature races rated at Eagle Farm winners were: Hay List $3.60 (speed 2nd best) & Melito $4.00 (speed best - best recent speed). Clients know that Speedratings has a superior record in identifying winners of feature races. A logical outcome really because Speedratings is the only resource using tried and true (unique) data - and when disclosure is at its greatest in the premier and feature races - the winners usually come from the (proven) fastest horses. For instance, today the 2 feature events in Queensland were won by the top speed horses Melito (speed best) & Hay List (speed 2nd best - with top 3 speed horses running the placings) - and in Melbourne the feature event of the Winter Championship Heat was won (by 5.5 lengths) by the best performed speed horse Doubtful Jack who was backed in from over $3.00 to his final quote of $2.40.

Speedform for Ballarat Thursday 24th of June 2010.

Just one race rated today - a heat of The Winter Championship. Top rated horse finished 3rd ($2.90 for place) and horse with best recent speed (Tiakinui @ $3.70) was successful. However Tiakinui was not rated in top 2 speed selections & is therefore not included among winners for this month. Trifecta $342.90 from top 6 speed horses.

Speedform for Moonee Valley Wednesday 23rd of June 2010.

When the races are appropriate clients of Speedratings receive selected races from midweek or Sunday programs. Today at Moonee Valley 6 races were rated from the 9 race program - and there was a huge result for clients including $18.50 winner King Carnage. Each race was won by one of the top 2 speed horses. Winners were: Happy Angel @ $7.80 (best recent speed); Mont Fleuri @ $3.00 (2nd best recent speed); Prospect $5.90 (best recent speed); Have A Shot $3.70 (speed best - 2nd best recent speed); King Carnage $18.50 (best recent speed) & Viking Turf Belle $5.80 (best speed - 2nd best recent speed). I didn't rate race 7 today - one of the legs of the quaddie - but the winner Tinamou started a short priced $2.60 favourite. The quaddie with the speed horses from the other 3 legs paid $1461.50.

Speedform for Sandown Lakeside Saturday 19th of June 2010.

Solid performance again from Speedratings on an uncompromising heavy track at Lakeside. Once again the nominated best speed horse for the meeting is successful - the 5th in succession: this time being the easy winner Ghostmilk (best recent speed - speed best) @ $2.10. Other winners were: Oak Heart @ $4.20 (best recent speed - speed best); Conquering Journey @ $3.20 (2nd best recent speed); Black And Bent @ $1.75 (speed best) - and nearly a big win with Signor Socks ($11.00) who was beaten a nose right on the line. At Rosehill winners were: Title $3.30 (best recent speed - speed best); Triple Elegance $2.35 (2nd best recent speed); No Hesitation $8.80 (2nd best recent speed); Break Card $4.70 (speed 2nd best - with the top 4 speed horses filling top 4 positions: trifecta $304.40 & First Four $1636.30) & Ironsten $4.60 (best recent speed - from top 5 speed horses first four home: trifecta $209.30 & First Four $4935.60).

Speedform for Moonee Valley Monday 14th of June 2010.

Huge performance again from Speedratings. Once again top speed horse for the day wins - this time Believe'n Achieve (best recent speed - best speed) @ $1.90. 4 winners for the day were top rated speed horses: Believe'n Achieve; Someday Somehow (speed best) @ $3.20; Trustus (best speed - speed best) @ 4.40 & in the feature race Galbraith (best recent speed - speed best) @ $14.70. Most pundits advised backing the short-priced favourite Our Baby Bonus (@ $1.60) - but only the speed facts from Speedratings advised correctly with Galbraith. Also Quaddie of $1435.60.

Speedform for Flemington Saturday 12th of June 2010.

For the third week in a row the recommended best speed horse for the day won. Previously these were Believe'n Achieve @ $5.00; Doubtful Jack @ $3.50 - and today Dubleanny @ $3.40. Todays program on a heavy track saw several top rated speed horses just fail to win & finish 2nd: these were Seventh Bullet & Trustus ($8.00 win & $3.20 place in an 8 horse field) - and in the only (bonus) rated race in Brisbane Melito (best recent speed) was narrowly defeated by Black Piranha (@ $23.30) with the 3rd & 4th best recent speed Mic Mac @ $6.20 placed 3rd & Beaded 4th in a 4-way-photo. Black Piranha had equal 5th best recent speed. The trifecta paid $2077.90 (rated in top 6 speed selections). Vivid Vixen a winner at Flemington @ $7.70 (2nd best recent speed). At Randwick winners were: With Ice @ $8.50 (best recent speed); Readyor @ $4.80 (2nd best recent speed) & Love Conquers All @ $1.70 (best recent speed).

Speedform for Flemington Saturday 5th of June 2010.

Sensational performance that will be unmatched by any racing service in Australia. Beginning with the fact that the Flemington quadrella of $6875.10 (Unitab - $4497.10 Supertab - $4576.60 NSW Tab) was won by the top 2 speed horses in each leg. Winners had Speed 2nd best - Speed 2nd best - best recent speed & speed best - and speed best & 2nd best recent speed). Huge dividends for a maximum outlay of $16.00. Picalero @ $32.70 was top rated - having best recent speed. Doubtful Jack @ $3.50 had best recent speed (won by 4.3 lengths) and was the nominated best bet for the meeting. Leica Larrikan @ $8.50 had speed 2nd best - with speed best Kallogg 2nd & the exacta $53.00. Elusive Touch won @ $2.50 - but $3.20 was obtainable Saturday morning. And Red Buttons @ $5.00 was top rated (speed best). Where other than Speedratings will you consistently find winners like Picalero ($32.70) - winners that are identified on the basis of speed facts and not on guesses and 'I think'. The Speedguide is the resource more and more intelligent punters are using to base their punting decision making upon. Some good results at Rosehill were just icing on the cake.

5 Belgietto / Under The Hat

Doubtful Jack looks back on track to repeat his brilliant speedfigures from his debut performance. Split two very promising fillies last time at Caulfield and the 1400m of this should suit. Beyond Pardon displays exemplary consistency. Drops back to 1400m in this after 2 strong efforts at 1600m. Has best speed at 1400m and he will prove very hard to catch again. Nevzlin impressed with strong speed effort on heavy track at Hillside last start. Improving & must be considered.

5 The Red Emperor / Laspiel

Kallogg heads the speed categories. Lots of upside with this 4 year old Street Cry gelding who was slightly unlucky last start this track & trip. Had nearly a month off but keeping him fresh may suit him. Bad draw - but will at least get plenty of galloping room. Hard to beat. I always like the best career speed horse coming off a win (anywhere). Leica Larrikan was back to winning form before suffering a minor interruption. Promising horse & a big danger. You can find chances everywhere if you look wide - a typical Provincial Plate.

Picalero has best recent speed. Another tricky race, but this mare is proven at the trip (and beyond) and is racing consistently. She is a superior wet track runner & probably is less effective if track gets close to good. If conditions suit (a dead 5 or worse) she will be hard to beat...

* note that top two speed horses ran 1st & 2nd in Race 6 - just as they had in the race (5) before.

1 Georgia’s Boy
2 True Tales

4 Cascabelscratched
5 Sheedy / Dr Nipandtuck

Georgia’s Boy has best recent speed for this race. Comes off a series of strong speed performances & although he runs a stong 1600m his speed peak was set over 1400m. Undefeated at Bendigo - and a win and third from 2 tries at this trip. Freshened up & well drawn. Hard to beat. True Tales has best career speed for this  & goes very well first up. Has a touch of class & is well drawn & placed to challenge in this race. Reverberates has 2nd best recent speed. Very talented (and still improving) mare who raced in Group Company as a 3 year old before being off the track for a year. Very impressive in 2 wins since resuming. Drops in distance (from 1600m) and drawn wide (at a tricky trip). Task is made difficult by those factors - but she does have tons of ability. Respect.  Good chances to Cascabel; Sheedy, and Dr Nipandtuck.

Many other top speed selections - several at very good odds - were placed 2nd: Azwa; Beyond Pardon; Module; Khas Kura; Pinwheel & Melito (in the only race rated at Doomben - The BTC Cup). Consistency across the programs.

Speedform for Flemington 8th of May 2010.

Winners today were Kutchinsky @ $7.00 (2nd best recent speed) & Dubleanny @ $5.20 (2nd best recent speed). Almost a very strong result with another 4 top-rated speed horses running 2nd. Consistency - if not riches today. Trifectas with top 5 speed horses returned $1060.90. The quaddie returned $1669.40. Remembering that Speedratings is the provider of the best and most unique racing information that is not covered by other racing newspapers. Unique facts and form. Insights into the program like this from Race 8: Two Hills is the interesting runner. Good effort in strong sprint over 1200m last start. Distance could be a query, but specialist 1000m horses usually go well when tried at 1400m with tempo change. No weight & will go quick. Watch.

Two Hills won at $9.20. She had 3rd best career speed for the race. The runner-up Avienus had 2nd best career speedfigures. The exacta $72.10.

At Rosehill winners were: Tromso @ $5.60 (best speed) & Shannara @ $2.20 (best recent speed - speed best - best speed).

Lots of  early speed in this - but would still expect Tasmanian mare to push on from outside barrier & try to get chasers off the bit & chasing early. A repeat of her 5 length Moonee Valley win on heavy ground would see her very hard to beat. The wetter the better for her chances. Trustus is a 4 year old with tons of ability. Is very good fresh - especially when produced on rain affected ground. No doubt set for a first-up tilt at this. Big danger. Eight Bills is the emerging sprinter - and obvious favourite. Would expect him to figure prominently in finish. Gran Sasso could win - but with weight & terrible draw his task is made more difficult.

Stanzout $16.70. Bocuse $2.40. I'm A Hussy $2.00. Trifecta $667.00 (top 5 recent speed horses).

Hissing Sid $4.40. Cruyfforme $12.00. Light Vision $2.40.

Speedform Morphettville & Sandown Lakeside Sunday 2nd of May 2010.

Not a spectacular day to begin the month - but still enough good results to not entirely disappoint. From the 2 recommended speed best horses today we had Floramour winning @ $4.60 - and Morgan Dollar narrowly defeated. Nine Tales was another top rated (speed best - 2nd best recent speed) winner at $3.30 - and in this race some big exotic collects with the top 5 recent speed horses providing dividends of: First Four $4473.90 (NSW TAB) & Tri $743.60 (NSW TAB). No metropolitan Sydney races today but from the select bonus races at Hawkesbury we had the Guineas winner Neeson (best recent speed - speed best) @ $2.70.

Best result today was top rated Hawks Bay @ $3.90 (best recent speed - speed best). But still a fantastic day if - like me - you supported the 3rd best recent speed (3rd rated - & obviously great value) Exceptionally @ $52.30 in the feature race today, the St Leger. A day of near misses in other events with top rated horses True Persuasion (2nd @ $3.40); Excelltastic (2nd @ $6.50) & Perturbo (nose 2nd @ $4.60). The Speedguide is first & foremost a superior formguide which identifies best winning chances on the factual merit of speed performances. Subscription to Speedratings provides a comprehensive - and unique - formguide at the same cost as other quality racing formguides such as The Sportsman or Winning Post. And the Speedguide comes with a personal touch of easy access and frequent newsletter updates. What a pity it would be to miss out on something like the $12,480.00 quaddie at Flemington today just because you were not informed of the true ability of feature race winner Exceptionally.

Speedform for Sandown Hillside Saturday 24th of April 2010.

Sensational performance from Speedratings today. Winners today were: Forbidden Quest @ $39.90 (2nd best recent speed); Roman Eye @ $10.30 (2nd best recent speed); Avienus @ $6.50 (speed 2nd best); Eight Bills @ $3.60 (speed best) & Vivid Vixen @ $1.50 (best recent speed). Race 2 (winner Roman Eye) also provided a big First Four dividend of $1071.70 (Supertab) with out top 4 speed horses. Quaddie (Supertab) of $9219.40 was won by horses all rated in top 4 speed selections. Backing top 2 recent speed today again provides a very substantial profit. At Randwick winners were: Happy Hippy @ $8.00 (speed best - 2nd best recent speed) & Road To Rock $3.90 (best speed - best recent speed - speed best).

Speedform for Caulfield Saturday 17th of April 2010.

A very disappointing result for Speedratings. Naturally it is impossible to win at every meeting - but it is still disappointing when things go wrong. First time in memory that I can remember a complete loss at a Melbourne meeting - only success was top rated Bird Of Fire - although that was fleeting as she subsequently lost on protest. However we did get several trifectas home in top speed horses - while the best result was a First Four of $2594 (Unitab) in race 7 with our top 4 rated speed selections. At Randwick winners were: Rangirangdoo @ $7.10 (speed 2nd best); Kudakulari @ $3.50 (best recent speed - speed best) & Herculian Prince @ $3.40 (speed best - 2nd best recent speed). Winners that were 3rd rated were: Bay Window @ $14.00 & Star Of Octagonal @ $4.80.

Included in this today was First Four of $7996.40 (Unitab) & Trifecta of $936.30 (Unitab) with top 5 recent speed horses in race 7 at Flemington (Perturbo winning). At Randwick winners were: Shoot Out (AJC Derby - best recent speed - speed best) @ $5.80; Brilliant Light @ $6.60 (best recent speed); Speedy Natalie (best recent speed - speed best) @ $3.40 & Al Dhafra (best recent speed - speed best) @ $2.25. If taking the top 2 speed horses in the 8 race program at Flemington $1.00 on each returned a dividend of $35.30 for an outlay of $16.00 - for a $100 unit it returns $3530.00 for an outlay of $1600. Betting in large amounts - or purely betting for fun - Speedratings provides unique information that no punter should be without.

Speedform for Moonee Valley Monday 5th of April 2010.

Another impressive performance from Speedratings with 75% of program won by top two speed horses. Winners were: Sheila's Star @ $12.80 (speed 2nd best); Persian Star @ $3.00 (2nd best recent speed); Miss Octopussy @ $3.40 (2nd best recent speed); True Persuasion @ $1.70 (best recent speed - best speed); Oronero @ $3.90 (2nd best recent speed) & Excelltastic @ $6.70 (best speed - speed best). True Persuasion and Excelltastic were the two nominated best speed horses for today. If backing top 2 speed horses in each race ($100 units) the outlay was $1600 and the return $3150.

Race 6:

1 Excelltastic
2 Bird Of Fire
3 Electromotive

Looking to horse with best career speedfigure to win this. Excelltastic has been conditioned with 2 runs over 1400m  - and he usually performs very well 3rd run back - last preparation thrashing a good field this track & trip at the same time. Blinkers go back on. The one to beat. Bird Of Fire has 2nd best career speedfigures & ran very well for her last start placing. Big danger. Very competitive & well performed field  - but I like the prospects of the top 2 speed performers to fight it out.

Results: Excelltastic 1st $6.70; $2.30. Reverend Lovejoy $2.20. Bird Of Fire $1.80.

Speedform for Flemington Saturday the 13th of March 2010.

A day at Flemington when horses with top 2 recent speed performances (once again) dominated. Subscription to Speedratings provides a client with a unique formguide that bases selections on the speed performance of a horse. The cost of a daily Speedguide is no more than the cost of other racing newspapers that provide information for punters - but The Speedguide is unique in its offering - and backed up with ongoing newsletters and information.

From the Speedguide today: Devil May Care can cause a boilover in this. An underrated mare (who won at odds of over $40 for Speedratings in September) who is exceptionally fast. She defeated Whiston in September - and her 3rd over this track & trip in August behind Eagle Falls and Five Car Stud was a big effort. At one point she led by several lengths before the (now proven) high quality Eagle Falls reeled her in. She will give a great sight at good odds.

Devil May Care 1st (speed 2nd best) @ $32.50. Other winners today were: Response @ $2.80 (speed best - 2nd best recent speed); Be Positive @ $10.00 (equal 2nd best recent speed - the other equal 2nd best recent speed was 2nd placed Red Flair @ $6.40 for the place. The exacta with these two paid $254.50); Lord Tavistock @ $19.40 (2nd best recent speed) & Stillme @ $4.50 (2nd best recent speed). Elmore @ 6.50 had best career speed for his race. At Randwick winners were: Hinchinbrook @ $5.50 (2nd best recent speed); Crystal Lily (speed best - best recent speed) @ $2.25 & Shoot Out (2nd best recent speed) @ $3.30.

The top 2 speed horses ran 1st & 2nd with the exacta paying $13.20. Our other top-rated speed selection today Spontaneous ran 2nd after being wide throughout.

Speedform for Moonee Valley Friday night 26th of February 2010:

Only 4 races rated. Top speed horses Speedy Natalie & Asphalt Jungle placed 2nd. Best result from Speedguide was win of Jeteven (2nd best recent speed) @ $4.20.

Speedform for Sandown Hillside 24th of February 2010.

Only 3 races were rated on this midweek program. Unfortunately the top speed horses had no luck, either being posted 3 wide without cover - or even failing to leave the barriers. Best result from the Speedguide was Tell The Story with 3rd best recent speed winning @ $13.90. Not a fan of midweek programs and Speedratings does try to be selective when issuing a Speedguide (even a limited one). Good results have come in the past with the huge result from Devil May Care - but the primary focus remains on the quality programs of the weekend.

Speedform for Caulfield Saturday 20th of February 2010.

Remarkable performance by Speedratings and The Speedguide to show once again why The Speedguide is the most innovative resource for racing enthusiasts in Australia. In addition were winners Solchow (speed best) @ $4.80; Denman @ $1.20 (best speed - speed best); Rightfully Yours @ $2.70 (speed 2nd best) & Tootsie @ $5.00 (best recent speed). At Rosehill more remarkable results with top rated Winter King (best recent speed) winning @ $13.70 - plus Rock Classic @ $3.10 (best recent speed); Madibagold $4.20 (best recent speed) & Patronyme $3.10 If you are tired of guessing and want tried & tested facts - instead of fiction & opinion - it's time to subscribe to Speedratings. For only around the cost of a weekly racing paper - but also combined with a unique and personal service - you would be crazy to approach any racemeeting without this knowledge.

Getting hard to catch Kaavert but his run was very good after running into tons of trouble. Kaavert & Aiglon ran 1st & 3rd today.

Speedform for Flemington Saturday 30th of January 2010.

Slightly disappointing day. So often it is the narrow defeat in a feature race that takes all of the (profit and) enjoyment out of a race day. If Wanted had so bravely held on in the Lightning Stakes at good odds then this top rated horse makes the day memorable. But not to be. Winners for the day: Star Witness $5.80 (best recent speed - best speed); Tollesprit $4.00 (speed 2nd best); Apprehend $3.60 (best recent speed - speed best). And as The Speedguide is first & foremost an information resource it should be noted that both Our Aqaleem $27.00 & Take The Rap $8.60 both had best speed for their respective races. This following up on the huge result last week by Zedi Knight who also had best speed for his race. At Randwick: Skilled $9.00 (2nd best speed); Pins On Parade $4.20 (best recent speed); Will To Win $2.70 (best recent speed) & Offhanded $3.20 (2nd best recent speed). And missed by a nose with longshot Zampara at huge odds.
