Speedratings has been providing a service to the wider public since 1989 - the past 12 years providing this service through the Internet.
Since 1989 Speedratings has created a record the envy of traditional form analysts and tipsters with the speed science of Speedratings identifying 11 winners (over this period) who had best speed performance for this great race. That is a 47% success rate of identifying the horses with the greatest potential to win. Many of these Melbourne Cup winners were at very attractive odds, which only further enhances the benefits of speed assessment.
These winners are:
1989 Tawriffic @ $30.00 (speed best - best recent speed)
1990 Kingston Rule @ $8.00 (speed best - best recent speed - and he still holds the track record after Speedratings identified his potential in lead up races)
1997 Might And Power @ $4.50 (speed best - best speed - best recent speed)
1998 Jezabeel $7.00 (speed best - best recent speed)
1999 Rogan Josh @ $6.00 very heavily supported (speed best - best recent speed)
2002 Media Puzzle @ $7.50 (best recent speed)
2003 Makybe Diva @ $9.10 (speed best - best speed)
2004 Makybe Diva @ $3.50 (best recent speed)
2006 Delta Blues @ $17.50 (best speed)
2010: American @ $13.00
and in 2011: Dunaden @ $9.10
It is worth noting that even in losing years the speed data has identified many long priced placegetters.
Obviously the speed data cannot win on every occasion. But as you can see it does identify the winner of the Melbourne Cup - and all other minor and major races - on a consistent basis, based on the fact and measurement of the speed of a racehorse.
You can pay for the varying opinions of the racing prophets (all claiming to have their own secret formula or insight) - or you can avail yourself for only $14.00 the complete analysis of speed performance for the program.
And if you wish further savings, by subscribing to Speedratings the monthly fee equates to around the same price per meeting as your daily newspaper.
Subscription and Daily Speedguide Details:
The Speedguide (with complete speedratings) is available for subscription for $175.00 for 6 calendar months. This equates to around the same cost as other racing newspapers - and none of these being able to provide the unique information of Speedratings.
Years of experience in racing are used to produce a unique and quality database, and the quality formguide that evolves from this information. In the United States every formguide has a section that provides Beyer speed (or similar). Speedratings has been providing the best example of this (modified and adapted for Australian conditions) for more than ten years. Without consulting speedratings you are really only guessing.
Speedratings operate on all Saturday, holiday & carnival race meetings held on Melbourne metropolitan tracks (i.e. Easter Monday, Anzac Day, Oaks day, etc.).
In 2009 Speedratings will provide the speedfigures for the Saturday race meeting in metropolitan Sydney. A minimum of 5 races (but usually the entire program) will be assessed and have speedfigures published. At this time there is no intention of separating Melbourne and Sydney and charging double - this offer of the two meetings will be valid for all of 2009 and revisited in 2010. In the current economic climate it is my intention to provide the best (most unique and informative) product on Australian racing at a cost that makes it both affordable and essential for all true racing enthusiasts.
Subscription to Speedratings (which includes speedfigures for the Saturday metropolitan meetings in both Melbourne and Sydney - as well as weekly speed reviews in newsletter):
3 months: $100.00
6 months: 175.00
12 months: $350.00
If there is any discrepancy between how the results of a meeting are described on any results page and the published Speedguide there is a full money-back guarantee. The published results denote exactly what is published in the Speedguide and received by clients.

PayPal option:
Given the popularity and interest in Speedratings shown by people worldwide, Speedratings is offering the option of making payments by PayPal for anyone outside of Australia. When making a PayPal payment please remember to send an email to Speedratings so I have a valid email address to send all information from Speedratings.
Daily Speedguides can now also be purchased through PayPal.
Subscription is both a preferred and cheaper option to the purchase of a daily Speedguide. Subscription also comes with the benefit of the weekly newsletter: the Speed Review. It is my belief that over an extended period of time everyone involved in the assessment of racehorses will recognise the benefits of using the science of speed data - so I prefer to illustrate and educate new users with a medium term subscription. However, I do recognise that some people will prefer to use speed data periodically.
The Speedguide is published (emailed to subscription clients) on Thursday evening before the weekend racing.
When purchasing a daily Speedguide please send an email to Speedratings as soon as purchase has been made with your preferred email address to ensure receipt of your Speedguide. A Speedguide will be emailed no later than Friday morning for all payments received on Thursday. A Speedguide will be emailed before 6.00pm on Friday for all payments made before 6.00pm Friday. For later payments the Speedguide will be emailed no later than 10.00am on Saturday morning.
Purchase the Melbourne Cup Speedguide below through the PayPal payment (daily speedguide) and the Speedguide will be promptly emailed to your nominated email address.
